What Does The Program Accomplish?

For The Teens:

• It impacts the teens heart with compassion and builds self esteem.

• It introduces the teens to new and positive people.

• It allows the teens to get to know the police on different level.

• It makes good use of the teens probation term by having them do something good for someone else.

• It allows the teens to use their talents and creativity for some one in need.

For The Police:

• It allows the the Police Officers to build a relationship with the teens.

• It creates community partnerships. The program relies on assistance from the community, such as program instructors, citizen role models, schools and businesses for monetary donations and facilities to conduct the meetings, and hospitals where the angels can be delivered.

• It also creates a partnership between the police and the Department of Corrections, as inmates make the angels for the program.

• It lifts the morale of the officers who participate.

• It is a powerful program that is also cost efficient .

• It builds excellent public relations.

For The Children In The Hospital:

• It lifts the spirits of the children and their families. Most of the recipients are battling life threatening illnesses. They are living through long dark days in the hospital. When a stranger delivers a gift of compassion to them it is very special.
