In this section we want to also supply you with comment from some of the role models who have been part of the program.
Sgt. Wade Johnson - Keokuk Police Dept.
I enjoyed the Guardian Angel Project as I learned a new skill. I enjoyed getting to know the teens in the program, as well as the other role models.
It is definitely a worth while program and I plan to continue participating.
Goldie Laymon - Ceramic Instructor/Role Model
It has been a pleasure to work with the Keokuk Police Dept. and the youth in this project.
It was a great experience to see the teens faces as they beheld their finished angel, knowing that they were satisfied with something that started as liquid mud, and became a beautiful symbol, not just a statue, but a symbol of faith, hope and love.
I was surprised, and yet very glad, to see such a great difference in these youth especially after we took the angels to the hospital.
I'm looking forward to doing it again.
