The Guardian Angel Project is a fairly simple program; however it requires a lot of coordination and cooperation from the community by way of volunteerism.

To implement the Guardian Angel Project an agency will need a ceramic instructor, citizen role models, facilities to paint the angels, a hospital partnership, and transportation to the hospital on the day your program delivers the angels.

The Keokuk Police Department has created a guide kit to assist other law enforcement agencies in implementing the Guardian Angel Project as part of their crime prevention efforts.

This kit includes a 48 page guidebook, which will give advice on how to coordinate and implement the Guardian Angel Project. Also included in this kit is an informative DVD presentation titled "The Power Of Compassion". This presentation will allow participating agencies to show in a matter of minutes, what the program has to offer, and what it accomplishes

We have also created a preliminary information packet that interested agencies may download as they consider implementing this program. The Guardian Angel Project is a law enforcement crime prevention program, therefore private citizens and organizations cannot purchase a guide kit or coordinate a Guardian Angel Project on their own, however you are welcome to download the preliminary information packet and present the information to your local law enforcement for their consideration.

An agency wishing to start a Guardian Angel Project through their department must sign the Guardian Angel Project agreement, which is included in the informational packet and is also available to be downloaded by itself through the link at the bottom of this page. This agreement states participating agencies will honor the basic principles and stipulations of the program.

 

These stipulations are:

 

 1. All Guardian Angel Projects will be administered to “at risk teens”. The teens will be partnered with role models to create the angel figurine for sick children.

2. All Guardian Angel Projects will use the Guardian Angel Project logo to identify itself. (The logo will be modified with the participating agencies name appearing on the badge.)

3. The Guardian Angel Project is forever dedicated to Eric Schonhoff. All agencies agreeing to participate will agree to honor his dedication.

4. All Guardian Angel Projects will use the guardian angel figurine owned by Guardian Angel Project Inc. and will order them through the Guardian Angel Project web site.

5. Agencies participating will order their programs apparel such as program t-shirts, hats, and sweaters through our web site.

 *The Guardian Angel Project is a copyrighted program. These stipulations will help protect the programs integrity and maintain its uniformity.

Once the interested agency signs the agreement they should mail it back to us along with a check or money order for their guide kit in the amount of $35.00.
